Functional Health

Dr. DeWalch uses laboratory testing to identify the root cause or causes of your concern. Once the root or roots have been identified Dr. DeWalch will go over your results with you and discuss a personalized path with will help you achieve your goals.

Dr. DeWalch does recommend supplements for some plans. Dr. DeWalch sees supplements as a bridge. We often get ourselves into states where we need a little external help to get us to a place where the God given mechanisms we all possess can then function the way they were designed too. While real food, meditation, and proper eating to name a few things are the best ways to do this, supplements are sometimes necessary and welcome tools. Dr. DeWalch strives to use as few supplements as necessary and for only a defined amount of time.

Dr. DeWalch will also recommend diet and lifestyle changes as these are the true tools of Functional Health. These changes will be the deeper longer-lasting changes that will continue to help you thrive and reach your optimal potential throughout your life.

Dr. DeWalch loves to work with your primary care physician, internist, nutritionist, or any other natural healthcare provider as part of a Team focused on you.

Structural Health

Functional BioMechanics

Dr. DeWalch practices Functional Biomechanics. Dr. DeWalch will do a full neuromusculoskeletal exam. If treatment is appropriate, you will be treated on your first visit. There are times were we have to send you for an X-ray or MRI. If that is necessary it will be discussed during your visit.

We do a very thorough physical exam as this sets the course that will follow. We strive to accomplish your goals in as few visits as possible. We prefer that you are out there enjoying life and accomplishing your goals.

We prefer to work proactively so we do recognize and recommend visits to maintain and improve your biomechanical health before injury occurs.

We find most of our athletes enjoy hearing the details of their imbalances (neuromusculoskeletal) because the information helps them understand what these things are and what can be done at home and during their training.

Acupuncture

Dr. DeWalch primarily utilizes Acupuncture for orthopedic conditions (lower back pain, ankle sprains, elbow pain, etc…). Dr. DeWalch has been certified and practicing Acupuncture for twenty-one years. Acupuncture is a wonderful tool that complements the Structural care Dr. DeWalch provides.
